Job Summary:
The Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of control systems and processes for electrical engineering projects. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective operation of control systems, while meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop control systems for electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
2. Develop control system architecture, including hardware and software components, to meet project specifications.
3. Conduct comprehensive system analysis, modeling, and simulation to optimize control system performance.
4. Collaborate with electrical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate control systems into broader engineering projects.
5. Program and configure control devices, such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
6. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of control systems to ensure their reliability and functionality.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems, performing root cause analysis and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
8. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
9. Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in control systems engineering, and recommend improvements or enhancements to existing systems.
10. Collaborate with project managers to ensure control system projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in control systems engineering, preferably within the electrical engineering domain.
3. In-depth knowledge of control system design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
4. Proficient in control system programming languages, such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.
5. Strong understanding of control system hardware components, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
6. Experience in system analysis, modeling, and simulation using industry-standard software tools.
7. Sound knowledge of electrical engineering principles and concepts.
8. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
